"Anti-Trump story assignments"
Editors at the New York Post "now regularly hand down anti-Trump story assignments, according to three current staff members," the NYT's Katie Robertson reports. Editor in chief Keith Poole "is often involved in editing these stories to make sure the tone is right."
One of Robertson's sources indicated that "front-page headlines involving politics, usually decided on with input from multiple editors, are now decided on only at the highest level of management." But a Post rep disputes that: "Part of the joy of working at The Post is that anyone can suggest wood headlines. That has never changed."
Sunday morning reads

> Eric Deggans says Chappelle's monologue was disappointing.
> Maureen Dowd: "One of the bright spots of the election is that a lot of people seemed to turn their back on crazy."
> Peggy Noonan's column, "Maybe Republicans Will Finally Learn," is the most-read Opinion piece on the WSJ website.
